Group Therapy
There is power in connecting with others who are going through similar situations. Peer to peer support can be very affirming because all group members are there for the same outcome. Group therapy allows you to give your perspective and share your vulnerabilities with other members who are there to provide normalization, validation and reassurance. Group therapy also provides you the opportunity to connect, see things differently and to build upon another’s group member’s outlook. Groups typically run on an 8-week cycle and are 90-minutes in length.
Groups are formed based on demand and clinician availability. Group members are typically those who have participated or currently participate in some form of therapy. It serves to be supplemental and not as a sole source therapy. Groups specialties include:
Women’s Empowerment
Anger management
Mood Enhancement
